Moderator:

Pang Xun, Professor at the School of International Studies, Peking University.

Lecture Abstract:

Over the past few decades, the various disciplines in the field of social sciences have undergone a profound revolution in reliability. Causal inference, as the development of a systematic approach, is almost synonymous with this revolution, driving a paradigm shift from model-driven research to design-driven research.

In this lecture, Professor Guo Shenyang will draw on over ten important articles in the development of causal inference ideas and methods. He will review and discuss the significant debates and core challenges that causal inference has faced over the past forty years.
